FINALLY! Its been a long wait, but well worth it. I'm very pleased with how this turned out. The amount of work they had to put into this and obstacles is amazing enough. The story starts off a little rough and doesn't engage me right away, but once everything starts to unfold a little bit I don't think I blinked once while watching the rest of the film.

The effects were tasteful and done very well. From transition to each scene really didn't lose any flow. Angles, especially during the fighting scenes helped add alot of intensity when I was watching and was the biggest hook for me.

What I loved most about this was the storyline, based on true events, they really nailed it good. There wasn't a single dull moment in this.

Overall I couldn't be anymore happy with how this came out. With the hype that built up around it, the movie really did deliver. A great production and one of the best for BF2.

Sands of Fire - the most anticipated machinima of all time with no doubt (at least in BF terms) - is one of the most stunning things I've ever seen. As many others here I've been waiting since 2006, when I saw the x-mas trailer. The wait seemed endless but it was definitely worth it.

The editing, compositing and cgi was INSANE. Some people didn't understand why it took you so long to finish it, i guess they will now. It's so obvious how much work was put into every shot of the film. I have never seen so much work on colours and light settings in a movie before. It's not only the amazing cinematics and things like depth of field etc, it is also the little details such as rain drops falling off that barrier in the beginning that make it so real and lively.

Unfortunately the story seems a bit dull, though this can easily be explained with the project start in 2005 (machinimas developed since then) and the fact this was based on facts. However the way the story was presented was really good and intense.

The movie sounds are amazing - as long as we talk about the battle scenes. I found it irritating and somewhat disturbing to hear the voices from MW2 and other games. Unfortunately the soundtrack was also taken from other films even though you promised something completely new - this however does not really count as a drawback as there is not a single machinma with custom soundtrack. The overall soundmixing was great, it's really just the voices that annoy me a little.

So, my opinion about SoF? It is exactly what the (amazing) trailers promised and what I expected from it. It is THE bf2 machinima and it really is close to perfection. Looking forward to see how the story ends.

fantastic movie. but the only drawback, which unfortunately is a HUGE drawback is that there is little to no character development, while characters interactions felt dry and pointless. this makes the movie feel emotionless regardless of what other film elements, and how well they were polished off, were used to accomplish that. THAT IS WHY BAND OF BROTHERS/SAVING PRIVATE RYAN WERE so GREAT. the premise, story line, and execution of both are close to flawless, but without any emotional connection to characters in the movie, it makes the entire film feel flat and hard to emotionally connect to.

Perfectly enjoyable in all vertents. Trully based on true events, this "story port" to Battlefield 2 looks fantastic. Starting the movie from the beggining taked some long but when the action starts, I sticked my eyes on my monitor and watch it.

One thing that looks great are the camera angles which don't lose any adrenaline and intensity. The 3D artwork also looks fantastic and the effects are the winner prop in this movie.

I am simply amazed how now this is looking and surely the next chapters of this "movie" will be much spectacular as this one. Surely and with no doubt, one of the best producions seen on TheMovieVault. Keep up the good work, Digital Warriors!

This one of the best BF2 Movies i seen on the Net.
Its nearly real because of good editing,quality and content.

Thank You Digital Warriors for making such an amazing movie, I can't wait to see the second part of this movie. I have never sat through a whole video EVER. I have been waiting for this movie to come out, and quite frankly it was well worth the wait.

The editing is so artistic and creative, it sucked me into the movie from beginning to end.

I am simply at a loss for words while typing this, due to the fact that I want to see more. Definitely worth the wait.

If this movie was feature length I would see it in theaters.

to make a long story short - this is pretty close to perfection and a milestone in the history of bf movies and videogame flicks in general.

what you get is amazing post-production work (just look at the colorsets or those raindrops on the barrier da-ha-mn), an almost "orgasmic" sound arrangement and a thrilling storyline that quickens your pulse with every second.

amazingly enough it's the same story that's also the biggest let-down of the movie in my opinion. with the 2 previous trailers in mind, i couldn't really notice anything new in there - maybe you guys revealed to much details already. i don't know.

fortunately there will be second part in the near future and i still have the chance to hand out the maximum score. this time, it's a great 9.8 for me. very well done, sirs.

Wow, waiting for few years and now it is out. The Editing in this movie is nearly perfect. Only thing that could be a bit better is the content, but there will be next part(s), so i don't want to say anything about it. The sound is really really nice. All in one, perfect movie.

I just watched this video again after a year or so and still have to say this is an epic film, cinematic and thrilling. I hope that part 2 comes out sometime soon.

Wow, all I can say is wow. I really cannot wait until the next episode comes. Keeps me wanting more. I also give a thumbs up on the original intro and storyline.

Nothing else to add. Now we just have to wait 5 years for the 2nd part ;))
